What Is The Best Method For Umbilical Hernia Repair?
As to the the type of umbilical hernia surgery, this is not up to the patient. The doctor will choose the best procedure and he will choose the one that will provide the fastest and safest results. Doctors want to spare the patient as much discomfort as possible and provide for the fatest recovery so they do pick the best procedure to get the job done. The procedure he chooses will be based on the size of your hernia and position of the hernia.
It’s over very quickly but it depends on how deep they have to sedate you as to how soon you’ll fully wake up. You normally are woken up in the recovery room and checked then allowed to go back to sleep several times and moved back to the ward and allowed to sleep! I have had 10 operations and 3 c-sections and I can never remember them even getting me back to the ward, even after minor surgery or the light anaesthesia of a caesarian.

I had a hernia repair operation five weeks ago with a natural human mesh incerted. I still have a burning sensation on my left and right sides of my abdomen.I also had four drains, two on each side. Last drain was taken out last week. It was a full opened surgery. How long will it take for me to recover?
